Praised for her “poetic and electric, warm and seductive” playing, American-born Indonesian-Chinese pianist Aileen Gozali performed her concerto debut at the age of 10, and has played on stages around the world, including China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Italy, and Germany. She recently made her Carnegie Hall solo recital debut in September 2017 at Weil Recital Hall. A laureate of numerous international competitions and an active chamber musician, Aileen recently graduated from The Juilliard School where she studied with Professor Robert McDonald. Her past teachers include Mr. Antonio Pompa-Baldi and Mr. Benjamin Loh. Aside from music, Gozali is passionate about community service and has been a volunteer at numerous medical centers and hospitals such as the Rainbow Children Hospital in Cleveland, UCLA Ronald Reagen Medical Center in Los Angeles and Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. She is currently pursuing her Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical studies at The School of General Studies of Columbia University. With her love for music and people, Aileen hopes to be able to share her two decades of experience at the piano with people who enjoy listening to live music, or who are just curious as to what the world of classical music is all about.
